Avail Enclosure Systems, a subsidiary of Avail Infrastructure Solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its Chattanooga facility, a project expected to create 82 new jobs and drive more than $10 million in investment in Hamilton County. The expansion reflects Avail’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for modular e-house solutions and reinforces its long-standing presence in Southeast Tennessee.
Gov. Bill Lee lauded the announcement as a step forward for Tennessee’s workforce and economic strength. “The state with the workers will be the state that wins the future, and today’s announcement will create greater opportunity for our highly skilled workforce in Hamilton County. I thank Avail Enclosure Systems for investing in Tennessee, and I look forward to seeing the company’s continued success,” said Lee.
Chattanooga’s strategic location, with access to railways, waterways, and major highways, has made it a key hub for industrial expansion. Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter emphasized the region’s advantages: “With easy access to railway, water, and interstate, Chattanooga is centrally located in Tennessee and the Southeast and is primed to support an array of industries by helping streamline transportation and communication. I believe Avail Enclosure Systems will continue to find much success in Chattanooga and Hamilton County.”
Avail’s chief operating officer and president, Jeremy Hoffman, highlighted the company’s commitment to Chattanooga, where it has been welcomed and supported by the local community. “Our success here, along with the reputation and expertise of our talented team, make this financial investment possible, and it reinforces our commitment to manufacturing top-tier products that unlock new opportunities as we continue to grow,” said Hoffman.
Local officials, including Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp, celebrated the investment and its impact on the area’s economy. “The planned expansion by Avail Enclosure Systems is poised to add both jobs and new investment to our community. This partnership reflects Hamilton County’s commitment to encouraging thoughtful business development in our region,” said Wamp.
Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly also expressed optimism about the economic growth generated by Avail’s expansion. “We’re thrilled to support Avail Enclosure Systems as they expand their operations in our city, with the help of our partners at the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. Their investment and the quality jobs they’ll create are a testament to the strength of our local workforce and Chattanooga’s ability to compete on a national scale.”
This investment, according to Rep. Yusuf Hakeem, D-Chattanooga, strengthens Chattanooga’s standing as a destination for business growth. “I’m extremely excited about the growth of Avail Enclosure Systems and the additional jobs it will bring to the community. This is another indicator of how Chattanooga has become a desired destination for companies to locate to and invest in,” said Hakeem.
Sen. Bo Watson, R-Hixson, also acknowledged the importance of Avail’s expansion, stating, “Avail Enclosure Systems is vital to our region, and I am happy to see their investment into the future of Chattanooga and Tennessee.”
The addition of more than 80 jobs contributes to the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce’s five-year strategic plan, Chattanooga Climbs Higher, which aims to create 5,000 new jobs in the region.
